The K9846941HP high-performance shear bar (also known as a chopper cutter bar, forage harvester counter knife, stationary knife, or ledger bar) goes in front of the cutter head drum of a Claas® harvester. This bar is used to create a cutting edge for the cutter drum knives to come across to cut the material being harvested. This shear bar can be used in both hay and corn.

Install to factory settings, no special tools are required. Use K9846941HPBK for mounting hardware. This bar is heat-treated and tungsten carbide coated. Visually inspect for wear, a ragged cut or poor feeding is a good indication.
