This product is installed:
In front of the cutter drum on all 8000 and 9000 Series wide throat John Deere® self-propelled forage harvesters (SPFH). It is a stationary shear bar.

This product is used for:
Creating a shear ledge for the cutter drum knives to pass across, cutting the material being harvested efficiently.

When to replace:
Replace when you notice excessive wear, ragged-cut material, or increased horsepower requirements—these are signs the shear bar is no longer functioning optimally.

Fits:
John Deere® 8000 and 9000 Series wide throat SPFH models. Install to factory settings; no special tools or torque specs required.
