Function: Cleans incoming air before it enters the engine, ensuring optimal performance. A dirty filter can trigger the check engine light, reduce fuel efficiency, and lead to engine misfires.

Maintenance: Should be replaced seasonally for best performance; replacing is recommended over cleaning or blowing out the filter.
