This kernel processor roll is designed for use in John Deere® 6000 and Narrow Body 7000 series harvesters.

What is this product used for?

This roll is engineered for forage processing in beef operations, helping cattle digest their feed more efficiently by breaking down forage into smaller, more manageable pieces. The sawtooth grooves unwrap cellulose and shred the stalk, ensuring the feed is properly cracked, not smashed.

How do you install this product?

Install using factory settings for John Deere® 6000 and Narrow Body 7000 series harvesters. Ensure proper alignment and maintain the recommended edge gap of under 1MM for optimal performance. 

When to replace this product:

• If the outside edges cannot be adjusted to under 1MM, the roll should be replaced.
• Over time, the teeth on the roll will begin to flatten, leading to more smashing than cracking of the kernels. Cracking is essential for proper feed breakdown, while smashing results in less efficient processing.
• Bearings should be replaced yearly for smooth operation.
