Alternator/ AC Drive Belt

Replacement alternator and air conditioner drive belt. This belt powers the alternator to provide power to the electrical functions of the forage harvester, such as the light systems, control panels, sensors, communication systems, and battery charging. It also powers the air conditioner for the chopper to help keep the cab and operator at an ideal temperature.

Replace the belt when it has physical damage such as cracks, frayed edges, or tears. Another good sign is if the surface appears glazed, which could be from excessive heat and friction. Belts also stretch over time, causing them to lose tension and start slipping.
